Frequently asked questions
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot Password?", enter your email, and check your inbox. The link is valid for one hour and can be used once. If you don't receive the email, check spam, then write to support.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us:
- iOS: Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → NutriMatch → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store app → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → NutriMatch → Cancel.
You will continue to have access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by your store, not by us:
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Sign in to NutriMatch with the same account you used originally. From Settings, tap "Restore Purchases". Your subscription should reappear within a few seconds.
How do I delete my account?
Open the App → Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete Account" and confirm. This is immediate and irreversible. See our account deletion page for more detail.
How do I export my data?
Open the App → Settings → "Export My Data". You'll receive a JSON file containing every row we have about you, which you can save to Files, email to yourself, or hand to your doctor.
Why is the AI sometimes wrong about an ingredient?
The AI bases its assessment on ingredient lists from the OpenFoodFacts database, which is community-maintained and occasionally out of date. Always read the label yourself for serious allergies. We are not a substitute for label-reading or for medical advice.
Why don't I see a "monthly report" yet?
Monthly reports are generated automatically on the 1st of each month for the prior calendar month, and only when you've logged enough data (typically a couple of weeks of meals plus some symptoms). If you're brand new, check back at the start of next month.
Is my health data shared with anyone?
No. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising. The only third parties who briefly see parts of it are: Anthropic (for AI analysis), Apple/Google (for subscription billing), and Supabase (for storage). See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does the App work without an internet connection?
Yes — you can log meals, symptoms, and stool entries offline. They sync to the cloud the next time you're online. AI scanning and recipe search require a connection.
