Delete your account
App Store & Play Store compliant. Effective immediately.
You can permanently delete your NutriMatch account and all associated data at any time, directly from the App. There is no waiting period and no manual review — when you confirm, your data is gone.
How to delete from the app
- Open NutriMatch.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm in the dialog.
You will be signed out, and your local cache will be wiped. The on-device subscription stays in place until it expires (or you cancel it via Apple / Google) — see "About your subscription" below.
What gets deleted
The following are permanently and irreversibly erased from our servers:
- Your authentication record (email, login history)
- Your profile (name, age, gender, height, weight, activity level)
- Your declared intolerances and severity settings
- Your full journal: every meal, drink, symptom, sleep, and stool entry
- Your hydration log
- Your favorites and recipe bookmarks
- Your custom meals
- Your scan history
- Your weight log
- Your daily statistics (gut score, streaks)
- Your monthly insight reports
- Your symptom-trigger correlations
What we keep, and why
We retain only the minimum necessary for legal and financial compliance:
- Anonymised crash logs (up to 30 days) — used only to diagnose bugs; not linkable back to you.
- Subscription receipts — Apple and Google retain billing records for tax and dispute purposes; we may receive notifications about your prior subscription for up to 7 years per applicable tax law. These records do not contain any health data.
About your subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions live with your Apple ID or Google account, not with us. Cancel separately:
- iOS: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → NutriMatch → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → NutriMatch → Cancel.
If you have an active subscription, you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, even if you delete your account first. (To use that remaining time, you'd have to create a new account and tap "Restore Purchases".)
Can't access the app?
If you've lost access to your phone or the App and want your account deleted, email support@nutrimatch.org from the address you signed up with. We'll verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 days.
Want a copy first?
Before deleting, you can export your data: open the App → Settings → Export My Data. This produces a single JSON file containing every row we have about you. Save it to Files, email it to yourself, or hand it to your doctor.
